This is an 2004 .It is old for my test ,Capa,spring of 2015.i knew that when I bought it hoping for questions at the end of chapters but there are none.The basic Anatomy and physiology hasn't changed or basic drugs. I bought it to review basic stuff for 28.00 rather than the 2011 for 80. I have other study books to add to it.
Current information. Tedious reading, but probably due to the amount of technical information. Good information for prep for certification testing.
Did not know it was outdated
This is an EXCELLENT resource. Greatly puzzled by the negative reviews of others. Yes, it is in outline form, not narrative form. This makes it concise, and so much more efficient as a study tool. Everything you need to know for CAPA or CPAN certification is in this book. I am extremely happy I purchased this book.
This is written in outline form! They authors did not write in descriptive, full sentences. It's like being back in college and taking notes, but you never heard the lecture. It's very dry and boring. You will fall alseep and not learn a thing. The book is expensive too. My suggestion, buy the Nancy Burden book on perianesthesia.
The format in this book is below expectations. It is as though I was using someone elses' notes/questions. It would be nice to have a book that speaks to the patho. associated wit the many and varried proccesses seen in the surgical experience.
Great book for the CPAN exam. There is a lot of really good information in this book, even if you are not planning to sit for an exam it it a good resource for PeriAnesthesia nurses.
Eh...it's like reading an outline...and i don't like outlines....i like narratives with substance...this is not it...
