This book was so informative! As I read through the pages I remembered dreams that I had as a child and how they came to past. In my adult years the dreams have continued. Dreams that I couldn’t shake, dreams that God sent to warn me of things to come but I had no understanding of how to pray afterwards. Some dreams were about the good plans that God has for me but again, no understanding of how to pray or prepare for whatb was ahead. I will continue to refer back to this book and pray for wisdom and understanding as I read so that I will see what the Lord would want me to see each time.

It's okay but if you have other books on the subject you might be disappointed.

I chose this rating because the book was very staright forward, very wording, easy to read and understand...I would definetly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in the "Dreamers of dreams"

Great starting place for understanding and positioning ourselves to dream. God has a lot to say to us and dreaming is often over looked

Decoding your Dreams by Jennifer LeClaire is an easy to read book looking at the meanings behind your dreams. The author looks at dreams as either a message from God, from the enemy, or could be just your thoughts being rehashed. She looks at these dreams as being an important part of your day. This book is meant to be a first book for the dreamer to begin to interpret their own dreams and so does not go deep into what your dreams mean. One of the first things to do to decide what God is wanting the dreamer to know is to pray and ask God to help you to know what God is telling you the dreamer. Then the dreamer should make and keep a dream journal. Just as soon as you have the dream you are to write down the dream in as much detail as you can remember: colors, numbers, people, your thoughts during the dream, and just anything that you can remember. At least once per year you should read back though your dreams to see if you get anymore insight into their meanings. The author then tells what different codes mean to different cultures or different families such as dreams of red may mean love, anger or danger to us but in Asian culture it may mean something associated with luck. In the U.S. yellow may mean being cowardly but in Greek culture it could mean sadness. The author states that just as God will speak to the English speaking person in English and not in Spanish that He will also follow cultural norms. She states that because of these differences to be careful in looking up dream codes on the internet because some of these discrepancies could occur. She also states that God will make the meaning known to the dreamer. Possibly the dreamer will awaken with the knowledge but sometimes the dreamer must get this information over time. She does say that the dreamer should understand the dream eventually with prayer because God wants the dreamer to understand.I picked this book because I was having a reoccurring dream that I wanted to know the meaning of it. After reading the book and carefully following the author's advice I am no closer to knowing the meaning than I ever was so I must assume that this is a dream that will require time to understand. I also thought that this book was a little simplistic. It, I felt could have gone a little deeper even for a beginner book. I give this book 3 stars.I received this book from BookLook for this review.

LeClaire reminds us that God spoke in dreams in the Bible and He does so today. Sleep studies indicate we usually dream at least four times each night. She gives tips on how to remember more dreams and suggestions on understanding what the dreams mean. It is important, she says, that we stay within the realm of biblical resources and do not turn to non-Christian resources. Scripture is our constant foundation.If we wonder why God would use dreams to speak to us, LeClaire gives some theories. If we are ready to listen to what God has to say in our dreams, she suggests we ask God to speak to us this way and have an attitude of expectation.LeClaire includes much on dream interpretation, including dreaming about biblical places, numbers, colors, symbols, etc. I was surprised to find out that culture has an influence in that symbols have different connotations for different people groups. For example, there is a hand gesture representing the University of Texas mascot, the head and horns of cattle. But that same gesture represents Satanism in Europe. (Loc. 1469/2812) What a change in meaning. Understanding the cultural aspects of symbols is very important in understanding dreams and I think she is the first I've seen point them out. And then there are the subjective symbols, meaningful to one person but meaningless to another.She is also quick to remind us that not all dreams are from God and gives good ways to be discerning on dream sources. We can evaluate the fruit produced from the dream as well as know that a dream from God would never go against Scripture. She gives several examples of her own dreams to help us understand the process. She reminds us that dreams are subjective and symbols could have different meanings in different situations.Dreams and their interpretation can be a difficult subject. LeClaire's book is very helpful in understanding the entire topic. I've read a few books on dreams yet learned some new and valuable information in this one. I like her emphasis that we ask the Lord as the interpretation belongs to Him. I like her pointing out that our emotional state influences our dream interpretation so it is important to seek out others who are wise in dream interpretation. I like the practical steps she gives.I do recommend this book to Christians who desire to understand why God speaks in dreams and want some insight into discerning the meaning of dreams.I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. Her use of actual newspaper reports and interview notes puts the reader right into the scene of the day the events took place. While reading the various firsthand accounts, I felt as if I was in the room with the person as they relayed what happened to them that night and the days that followed. This is a must have in your library if you are in anyway related to the family or are a student of USA history as it gives you names and dates of people who were living the American dream one moment and in a blink of an eye, suffering through an American tragedy. A very good read with drama, love and sadness, knitted into a story you will remember for a life time.

Since I had never heard or read anything about this particular disaster, I found this book interesting and very sad.I had no idea even that Yellowstone was earthquake prone.The details of the people's lives that survived and those that unfortunately did not made you feel as f you had known them.This is so interestingly written you cannot put it down and it is a story honoring all people living and deceased.Highly recommended.

This event was personal to me. My friends were there and experienced the trauma. This helps complete what I never knew about in the details. Thanks for writing it Anita.

I am really enjoying this book as a daily devotional, but it can be read all the way through if you want to. I can just hear Jonathan Cahn speaking as I read as I have listened to him so much on the Christian shows I watch. If all of Israel's priests had been like Jonathan, the Jewish people may not have been taken into captivity to Babylon or dispersed throughout the nations as they would have had priests teaching the people about God and living a godly lifestyle. I have enjoyed reading all of his books.

This book is a MUST read for any Christian trying to get a deeper understanding of the scriptures. I don't often write a review, but this book deserves 50 stars. I have been a born-again Christian for over 40 years and some of the truths revealed by Jonathan are super faith building as you find how God connects the dots through His wisdom and planning. Some were so new to me that I was not sure about them so I had to do extra research to check them out. They were always found to be right on! I am only half way through the book, but did not want to wait to recommend it.

You can read this book straight through as it tells the story of a disciple as he learns from the teacher; or you can read this book as a devotional, one lesson that is learned each day. It is a POWERFUL book. Each day's story has a moment that opens your eyes and your heart as to how much God loves us--and how profound His love is. The stories build on each other in the overall theme of the book---God loves us so much and He has a plan for each of us that leads to our becoming One with Him. It is a book that will give you much to think about---365 days worth---surprising you with how intricate God's plan has been from the beginning of time--if you only knew how to discover it. This book will show you how to discover it. At the end of each page is "The Mission"---a way to turn the concept of the day's story into the reality of your life. The Scripture background for each story is also provided for further reading. I cannot recommend this book enough. It is an easy book to read, but each lesson shows amazing insight and depth. The ideas are presented in new ways that are beautifully written and will change your life.

This book is intricately written and reflective. Be prepared to take a journey with The Master Teacher. The Holy Spirit walks you through a beautifully guided teaching about God in relationship with you. The book is reflective and leads the reader to a more in depth view of God's Purpose in his or her life. There is also a deeper understanding of Holy Scripture. Highly recommend!

Not familiar with this author but not I am going to look for his other works. This book is set up as a one year devotional with a different lesson/topic for each day, with scripture references and a daily application "mission". It links Jewish tradition with Christian beliefs that never occurred to me before. It also is teaching me some Hebrew words and how they relate. It's set up as a teacher giving a student lessons and it reminds me of the TV series, Kung Fu. I keep expecting the teacher to say "Well done, Grasshopper". An informative book that I find myself reading more than one lesson at a time. This book will be useful to anyone wanting a closer walk with God.

Jonathan Cahn is a favorite of mine and this is his best work in my opinion. He is not the greatest novelist. But his wisdom and insight into jewish history, mysteries, and customs is unsurpassed by any other. His unique talent of bridging the Old Testament with the New is throughout this book and is greatly needed in todays world. His wisdom as a Messianic Jew is of tremendous value and rare insight. The book typifies this through explaining many unique customs and ancient practices that have been lost. His ability to personalize it for todays world demonstrates tremendous insight and wisdom unmatched by current scholars. I'm amazed at the depth of topics he cover. My only dislike is that I did not care for the format of being presented as a daily quotes calendar. I thought that cheapened it a bit. His other books over exhaust a particular points, so this format was not what I'd expect from him. The book's style limits it's capacity as a page turner and leaves me longing for even more details about ancient mysteries with some of the topics. But the flow of easy to read single page concepts makes for quick spiritual feeding. The concepts in this book have been a wonderful study companion to my LDS faith, but those of any faith can find a benefit from it as his recommended principles applies to all. Thank you Jonathan!!!

Interesting and enjoyable to read. However, how much can be taken as God's honest truth and how much is subjecture? With little or no references given a great deal of research would have to be done on the readers part before acceptance of each mystery. Even accepted truths are subjest to the opinion of the author. A popular title, written to be a bestseller, not a work of theological research. A point to be taken in to consideration when facts and opinions are presented. Mysteries given should be taken with a question mark attached.

This book is the Finest Devotional type of book I've Ever Read!!. Once again Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has written a book that needs to be read by all. It is meant as a daily devotional, but it is hard not to just keep reading and pondering over the nuggets of wisdom along the way. He is a great teacher with great insight into the word of God and has no problem telling us what we need to hear, even when the lesson is a hard one. I would recommend this book, along with all his others, to anyone wanting to be uplifted and learn about some mysteries of God's word presented in a way you can't help but enjoy learning from.

I read this book with my nephew who has recently began to show a very strong interest in the sciences, and I must admit that the book truly turned out to be much better than I expected. In fact, I think I even enjoyed it just as much as he did.What I really admire about the read is that it’s easy to tell early on that the author truly has a passion for educating and inspiring younger readers. The activities are not only written in a clear, easy-to-understand manner, but also with a genuine enthusiasm – which I personally think is a major factor as to why the book was so well-received. As well as this, there’s plenty of different activities to choose from and the actual process of creating and following the steps is almost as fun as seeing the final product itself. To put it simply, I am left more than satisfied by the author and I hope to see more in the future!

This book has some great holiday projects for families to do together, some of them best suited to older children and requiring adult supervision. Be aware that for some projects you will need supplies that you don’t have around the house such as LED lights, 3v & 9v batteries and cable connectors. Once you have everything you need, the activities look as though they will be lots of fun and kids interested in science and technology in particular will be able to learn as they create their masterpieces. I’m really looking forward to trying some of these out over the holidays!

Wonderful book with fun and science activities. STEAM AHEAD is easy to understand and has got lot of interesting activities for the kids to explore and innovate more ideas. My 7 year old daughter would love to experiment these projects and she wanted to start with cloud lanterns. This book makes it interesting for both the kids and also the adults assisting them. The experiments in the book has got illustrations which is very useful for the kids to understand and follow each and every step. It is a great buy!

People often think bodyweight training is a thing of the past since the birth of weight loss pills and the many types of diets people are trying these days. Bodyweight and cross training to me sounds like a hard-core workout like the ones athletes do, but this book tells me otherwise. There are a lot of exercises with illustrations that are really easy to follow, and I think is great for beginners like me. The author also included combinations of these exercises, which you can do in 10-15 minutes. I believe it’s not just for weight loss, but also for overall well-being. It takes more than physical strength to be able to do these workouts.

As a keen weight trainer the last year has been very frustrating for me. While lifting heavy weights I partially tore my biceps tendon in my left arm. This effectively put my training on hold while I tried to let the injury heal. I thought it was all good, started to ease back into weight training and reinjured myself.I’ve now decided to give away the heavy weights and try something different to keep fit. I’ve been interested in cross training for a while but have never really tried it. I have trained with kettlebells and some bodyweight exercises in the past but nothing as integrated as is described in this book.The book describes the philosophy behind bodyweight cross training and clearly outlines all the benefits. Coming back from an injury, I especially like how everything is scalable so anybody can participate, regardless of age or fitness level. All the exercises are clearly explained and all have diagrams so you can see exactly how each exercise should be done.With the 220 WODs, workouts will never be boring. That’s the great thing about cross training: workouts are short, sharp and to the point. And even better, since it’s all bodyweight exercises you can do the workouts virtually anywhere.Highly recommended!

great book, i have just finished it and i cant wait to read the next writers book, the activities in the book are not complex plus the narration is easy to understand, it contains explanatory pictures that have helped a lot..in short...its one am keeping

If you love exercising or working out on you own this book is the perfect fit for you. You can try the exercises that are being discussed here at home and familiarize yourself with the cross training terminology so that you will be able to interpret your Cross Training workouts. The pictures that are provided in this book made it easier and handy for beginners like us to execute exercises without any doubt of doing it the wrong way.

As a writer, I'm always traveling and I don't always get to the gym. That's why I am always on the look out for a manual to help me get a workout in when in a hotel and other areas. Selter provides an excellent manual for that. It's well layered, and the workouts can be done in just 20 minutes. I found it useful, and I have been working through several different workouts and can testify to their effectiveness. There's no more excuses now, that's for sure. This is a great help.

This book has allowed me to get back to my fitness regiment while constantly traveling for work. Sometimes the hotel fitness centers are really small or completely crowded, this allows me to do a complete workout in my own personal space. I love the idea of mostly using your own body weight to achieve a well-balanced physique. I also really enjoy that the workouts are laid out and work out different parts of the body every day.

I found this book to be very useful. It makes everything simple, yet it still keeps it all effective. This is well written, easy to follow, and the terminology was great. What else can you ask for? This was everything I needed, and then some more. P Selter is very passionate about fitness and helping others. He has put passion into this book, and I believe that's why this is so great.Overall, I definitely recommend this book.

Amazing book of WODs. I took this on a recent deployment and it was the next best thing to having a trainer with me. Being able to exercise without having to either come up with my own WODs or do the same routine over and over was great. One word of caution, make sure you know the proper form for the exercises before you try them. The book describes them slightly, but I would recommend having someone verify your form since exercising without proper form can lead to injury.
