I really enjoyed the previous book "It Started with Goodbye" so I was excited to read this sequel focused on Tilly, Tatum's stepsister. Unfortunately, I just didn't connect with Tilly the way I did with Tatum, nor with her love interest (I already forgot his name). The book is also supposed to be based on the tale of Red Riding Hood, but the connection was so loose, I wondered why it was even mentioned at all (except for marketing purposes).Matilda is a likeable character, but I found her narration a little flat, with none of Tatum's sense of humor and witty comments that made the previous book so enjoyable. The romance was also a bit of a letdown, since Tilly and her love interest already knew each other, and we don't get to see them forging a connection like Tatum and Seamus did. This is supposed to be a "second chance" type of romance, but unlike the first book, I didn't feel like the romance was an integral part of the story, more like an extra touch. It also kind of lacked the spark that Tatum and Seamus had.Another issue I had is that the NY city settling is way overused, as most movies, TV series, and books are set there. I've been to NY and find it very noisy, expensive and a bit overrated, I personally wouldn't like to live there. Wish the story had taken place somewhere a bit more original, or that at least the story focused less in the location and more on its characters and story.Overall, I liked the book, but I would have liked to see more of Tilly's abuela and more background on some on the characters. I hope the next book in the series is better than this one, though. It looks like it will be focused on Tatum's friend Ashley, so it looks like it will be good. :)

Everywhere You Want to Be - PGViolence: none, mischievous meannessLanguage: nothing offensiveSex: no sex, a couple kissesMy rating is for what it is, which is a great book for high school girls who like clean romance and heroines they can relate to. I suggest you read the first book *It Started With Goodbye* before reading this one because there seems to be a good backstory between our heroine and her sister which was apparently addressed in the first book.

I had the pleasure of reading an advanced copy of this book, and I enjoyed it every bit as much as I did its predecessor, It Started with Goodbye. I loved the NYC presence in this story- June captured the feeling of motion in the city and in Tilly’s dancing beautifully. I have purchased copies for my friends who enjoy YA as well as some who don’t, because this coming of age tale is classic and will appeal to most audiences.

I adored this book!Having next to no knowledge about the world of dance, I loved getting sucked into Tilly's story as she traverses New York City and her dancing troupe. It was a special treat getting to see the characters from June's first novel, IT STARTED WITH GOODBYE. (I'm a big fan of Tatum.)Tilly is a fun main character to get behind and won't leave readers disappointed.

I loved this book. Great characters, great writing. I had read “It started with Goodbye” beforehand but even though this is a companion novel you can understand it without reading the other one first. Both are great character driven fun reads. Perfect for summer time!

I loved the second book in this series!! Such interesting story and everyone will be able to identify with The main characters!

After a serious injury takes Matilda Castillo away from her dream of becoming a dancer for a year, she is afraid all hope of achieving her dream is lost. But when a once in a lifetime chance comes her way, she jumps at it. She has been offered the opportunity to spend the summer in New York and perform. She has already made a commitment to go to Georgetown in the fall and doesn’t want to disappoint her mother but also knows she can’t pass up the chance to finally chase down her dream. Her grandmother has given her a pair of bright red sunglasses as good luck and she uses them to help her launch herself into her new career. Day one finds her making herself a target as the one to beat and Sabrina Wolfrik is intent on doing everything she can to stop her competition. Matilda also has a second chance at love when the boy she lost her chance with is in the city for the summer and willing to give them another shot. Not only is Tilly’s future with dance on the line, but also much more, and she is going to give her all to make her dreams come true. For me, the best thing about this novel was the lessons taught. I loved how June brought bullying into light but in such a different way than would be expected. Tilly was able to show that even though it might be hard, being the bigger, better person always pays off in the end. She had some tough choices to make but showed how it can still be done. Her interactions with Charlotte and Paolo were well played out, as well as the dynamic between her and her family. The teenage years are hard with many life decisions that need to be made and learning to deal with what comes your way can be very difficult. I loved the way the story line with Sabrina played out. Very different than I would have first expected, but still very natural. I recommend this book especially for teenage readers, they will gain a lot from what is written on the pages.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. The views and opinions expressed within are my own.
